Team of SA/WA Bombers

Was bored so chucked together a team of Bombers from SA and WA origin. I know I must have missed a few:
 
B: Wanganeen (SA) Weston (WA) Duckworth (WA)
HB: Grenvold (SA) Buttsworth (WA) Wellman (SA)
C: Sporn (SA) Baker (WA) Anderson (SA)
HF: Cransberg (WA) Ryder (WA) Barnard (WA)
F: Copping (SA) Cummings (WA) Derek Kickett (WA)
Foll: Moss (WA) Carman (SA) Bewick (WA)
Int: Hooker (WA) Howlett (WA) Werner (SA) Myers (WA)


Never saw him play but from what I'm told (especially by the man himself) Alec Epis (WA) was quite a player.

 

He was. Used to love "The Kookaburra" when I was a kid.

Epis? He was good, very good, deserves to be in this team, no doubt.

Yes, Alec Epis should be on a back flank. Another good half back flanker from WA, who could also play half forward was Col Hebbard, a member of our 1957 and 1959 Grand Final sides.

He was. Used to love "The Kookaburra" when I was a kid.

 

Used to love the way he'd run back to take his kick, twirling the ball in the air, then let loose with a big drop kick.

 

Had some issues with Bob Shearman IIRC. Shearman went over to Sturt and won them a few flags, with Kooka's girl-friend. But to be fair, she was still married to Bob 50 years later when he died.

Surely Tony Buhagiar should get in ahead of Sporn? Monfires for mine has done more than the likes of Howlett and Werner for the club…

We used to call Alec Epis 'Tank' rather than 'Kooka'

Favourites that I would like to squeeze in would be Peter Cransberg and Scott Gumbleton.

 

But I can list many others and I wonder why there are so many.  Who can forget Che Cockatoo-Collins and Courtney Johns?

Was a favorite of mine. Underated I reckon. Kicked over 40 goals in each of his 2 years at the club. Kicked 7 or 8 against the Dogs one day and 4 in a final against North.

Where was he in 84 and 85? Still at the club or back in adelaide. Wondering why he was in the premiership sides.

Also, was buhagier injured in 84 or just out of form and not picked?

Buhagiar was 21st man in '84...he was the unlucky one to miss out...wasn't injured though.

Greatest game of football I ever saw (result wise).

Sorry! Just a list of random West Australians that I thought of off the top of my head that may have or may not have had an impact at the club in the last 20-30 years.
