Basically an under 25 - or even under 23 - squad plus Stanton.

 

Good approach for the first practice game...let's see who can play and put their hand up for the spots 18-22 for Round 1.

 

Gold Coast seem to have a pretty strong squad so we may get done up there.

I'd have Steinberg start as the 3rd tall and have Hardy come off the bench and swap with him once in a while.

The two Merrett brothers on the HF flanks look great. Could look like that for the next decade.

really? I still think with that team we will beat GC. Remember for some of the young guys this could be their only chance to show Bomber what they can do before the experienced guys come back. Plus everyone will be out to impress the new (sorta) coach.

I might have rested Hooker big key to our backline for 2014.

I think the defensive unit needs to settle, certainly the key players like hurls and hooksie need to play together.

Perfect way to go. Really like how they are altering the work load from player to player. Good to give the young guys a go now with the guys in the mid 20's can take a leadership role early on. A good way to ■■■■■ the rest of the list while managing the work load of the top guys.

 

Will have my eye on Zack Merrett for sure.
