No, you want to project your thoughts as being the only ones that are worthwhile and valid. You think that as long as the cause aligns with your beliefs it is just and valid. This is exactly why I despise this ■■■■ entering sport. It is not the platform to do it because it assumes we are a homogeneous glob of people who all think the same.
This isn’t the thread for it. So I will stop now.

Pevers-Legend:
Sorry?
I was discussing the reaction to the valid comment around divorcing politics from sport, not the gesture itself (which I said I am not fussed about).
You can disagree with something and not be outraged.
It’s not politics.
It’s about not being a ■■■■ ■■■■.
Edit: that probably shouldn’t have passed the filter.
I agree. Views other than fair ones aren’t worthwhile or valid. Like xenophobia for example. But please go on defending xenophobia.

Sport is used as a vehicle for social issues all the time, … and willl continue to be.
If not for sport getting Involved, South Africa may well still be apartheid.
Soccers WC will now not go to any Country with Human Rights abuses, . etc etc, … the list goes on and on.
