If we beat adelaide by 50 points and do not make finals it means we will have lost to either gc or freo or maybe even both. It would probably perfectly sum up our season to be honest if that happened.

If peopleās brains legitimately canāt compute the fact that 13 years of sustained mediocrity will leave the supporter base a little glass half empty and feeling like they need to see before they believe again, then I really donāt get it.

Beat Adelaide (and then beat Suns+Freo) and we are near def for finals, miss out on Adelaide and we are SERIOUSLY barracking for Saints
Yes, I think weād feel pretty unlucky if we win the next 3 games and miss the 8, but it is possible
Early in the season the best forward combination was unknown, Langford was prob the last picked in the forward line behind:
Raz
Joe
Green
Hooker
Tippa/Howlett
(these x2 seem to rotate from bench/mid/fwd as required)
Langford wasnāt impacting the scoreboard, wasnāt making it to enough contests and wasnāt providing enough forward line pressure.
And was dropped, from memory after the Adelaide game.
Francis was brought in for the Anzac day clash. And suffered from the same issues as Langford.
Then James Stewart came in to the role and the rest is history. Heās been more effective (see pass to Tippa for the sealer vs Carlton).
Langers is being groomed as a fwd/mid and currently seems to be currently behind Laverde in the pecking order for the forward line and will come back in to the team if one of our best 6 fwds & Laverde are not available or if our midfield were to have a couple of injuries he may be a chance.
Heāll prob get more opportunities next year with Jobes retirement.

So, 4 games out from finals and GWS are flexing their considerable muscle. Adelaide will be looking at this game and wanting/expecting to send a smiliar message given their no. 1 status. Im not sure Adelaide at a neutral venue are in the same ballpark. Weāll find out Saturday night.

Iām pretty sure our midfield can get around 35 Inside Fifties, and therefore weāll win by 50 points.
(65 to 34 inside fifties!!!)

Yes, I much preferred the efficient Essendon who averaged around 40 i50ās. They seemed to be better at scoring.
