El is not going to be able to take her own photo, methinks.
Ha, Jordan is not leaning in low.
I haven’t done a headcount, but Jayda is over in NZ – and her foot seems to be fully repaired.
EDIT: Jayda resumed running in the week before the final… and SO DID TAY!

League award show streams from 7:15 tonight.
VFL(W) league-wide Volunteer of the Year:
Great guy, and his young daughter buzzing around is adorable.
(you will see him/them helping at the AFLW as well)
I guess I have a short rest now, then go start the 2026 squad thread…

- The BOG was the same as the Radio 3DJR in rounds 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 11, and 12. Rounds 9 and 10 were also “correct” as no one was arguing an EFC player was worth top three.
- Rounds 4 and 6 were complete whiffs by Radio 3DJR. SFord was outta nowhere, and MFord had five top threes in the 3DJR award that did not match this call by the umps.
- Rounds 7+11+12 umps had Chaston best; Radio 3DJR said 4th/3rd/2nd (but round 7 was specifically described at the time as a six-way tie).

Belatedly… Wheelo Rating have some detailed stats summaries for both players and teams.
Would have saved me hours if I’d seen it before doing the stats…
Some things you can quickly see from them:
- Third youngest team (they say 22.3, I said 22.5 – I take that to mean they took everyone’s age from the start of the season) with the range being from 21.5 (Geelong) to 26.9 (Darebin)
- We are fifth for Fantasy and kicks, and second for handballs. Willy is bottom for Fantasy for their distinctive and sometimes-successful approach of never handballing.
- We are just above Norf for disposal efficiency and just below Norf for skew to handballs. Box Hill slips between us (we are top) for disposals per times tackled. Willy have 42% fewer disposals between tackles than we do.
- We are middling for inside fifties and rebounds, while Willy are top for rebound percentage (85%).
- Uncontested possessions is second to Norf. But contested possessions is very different: they are still top, and we are second last. Last when you look at percentage of possessions being contested.
- Clearances are part of those contested possessions, and we are third-last for them. Norf is fourth, with Darebin cough Kenos cough is top.
- Now while we are skewed towards handballs, we are second for marks. But last for contested marks! Some of our best sequences were kick-mark chains, and the effort to take leading marks is deemed unworthy. Losing Richo mid-season didn’t help, and while Davidge is a CLUNKer they are typically leading ones.
- Tackles: last! It’s not quite as bad as it sounds: Norf + Pies + Hawks are also below average, because they are the ones being chased. Worth noting that Norf are top for tackles inside fifty, though.
- Hit-outs: last! Not a big surprise, as Prince is very under-sized, but in the bulk of games she at least neutralised her bigger opponent. That is partially represented by us only being third-last for hit-out differentials.
- Broadly, if not mentioned above, we were fifth and sixth (not seventh) was below average.
