Brother took me to his club Sunday night. 3 quid pints which is about half price of the local pubs. Haven’t had a Carlsberg in years so I had one. Watching the barman pour it and remembering the tv add from the 80s “ Carlsberg, probably the greatest beer in the world”. It was tasteless. Call it cat’s pee would be an insult to the cat.

@hambo I think you’d like the ramjet. It’s a classic imperial stout aged in starward whisky barrels. Dark chocolate finishing slightly bitter. Also smoky notes from the barrel aging.

Yes I like the Ramjet but I’m yet to be convinced that whiskey barrel aging adds anything that I like, particularly for the extra expense. Perhaps my palate needs more education, I shall try another
