Western Japan gets farking stiffed again. 5 shows in Tokyo area only.
This is the model moving forward for Radiohead, multiple shows at fewer cities.
Yeah, it’s also a common issue with Western artists coming to Japan. Tokyo only. I was dreading it would happen.
I don’t see big bands often… when it comes to multiple shows in one location can you expect a better performance to start - middle - end of the run?
As far as Radiohead goes, I’d say this… save up your cabbage. They’re well known for mixing up the setlist, so no two shows are likely to be the same.
I’ll be trying to get to at least two. The OK Computer tour in 1997 was absolutely killer…

Radiohead definitely mix up the setlists, and going by the European shows they last did they were amazing.
I saw them on that tour at Festival Hall on a stinking hot night and the joint was like a sauna.
Great gig, all the same.
I saw them a couple of times and both nights were absolutely baking in there. From memory, it was a whole week of 35 degC+…
4 in Perth, 0 in Brisbane is certainly something. Obviously the expectation is east coasters will travel to Melb/Sydney.
Yeah, but Perth? Is every living adult going to go?

These shows will sell out.
I don’t doubt it, sure the promoters have done their homework.
But it looks a bit like maximising profits with little concern for fans. Obviously this isn’t a band that needs exposure, so they can afford to be lazy in that regard.
Prices are insane.
Comparable to most other huge international acts
