I think it depended on the day with Binga.
When he was on, he was more than capable of ripping through good batting line ups. When he wasn’t, high speed cannon fodder.

Never felt like Australians ever really rated B Lee (much like Starc). He had that one year after McGrath retired where he really used his noggin and was maybe the best bowler in the world, then he retired too.
Too often he just used to try and blast everyone out.
Indian fans have always loved him more than we did.

I think the thing that maybe holds starc back in recognition is that he’s often seen as lacking control. Absolutely deadly when accurate, but he can be very wayward. It reflects in his stat’s too, high average and runs per over but better strike rate than other top Australian fast bowlers.
I’ll confess to being a Brett Lee critic, but in hindsight who was he holding out of the team? Bichel and Kasprowicz? He was better than them, even if he averaged over 40 with ball against England

He had a point of difference over Bichel. Kasper felt a lot cannier - did (relatively) better in Asia.
On balance Lee was better than either - but I think maybe Lee is lauded a bit more in India. At least in some of the places where I’ve seen cricket discussed with international audiences.
It’s always a good thing to have a “get ready for a broken fkg arm” option to call on - I do wonder if Lee was asked to play the role of the bruiser

Great comeback from Tassie in first one day cup game. 8/124 chasing NSW’s 224 Hope and Kunneman put on an unbeaten 100 partnership to win in the last over. Kunneman 56 and Hope 49.

I’m taking far more from Konstas getting a tonne , given it’s long form red ball and on away wickets.
Also, not getting much attention but Campbell Kellaway got 88 opening up. I reckon he’s a dark horse for a Test opportunity .
The opening three rounds of Shield are the critical moment though, for all Test aspirants.
