Potentially already mentioned but just saw there will be a 150 year anniversary day/night test at the G vs The Poms. I am ■■■■■■■ pumped!!

Excellent. The day-night test for the Women’s Ashes was fantastic. The MCG is perfect for it.

Actually, hold up…checks calendar…wait a second, that’s really going to impact AFL scheduling.

I went to four of the five days of the Centenary Test. Amazing match. I shall, inshallah, be there for all five of the sesquicentennial.

Should be only one week tops where AFL can’t be played there. Rest of season shouldn’t be impacted

Agree. It’s not like it’s meant to be a cricket ground…

Great word.
Just a cheeky little sesqui.

No reason they can’t transform it in a day or two and then back to footy in a day or two

Adelaide Oval is likely to be hosting the Shield final in a few weeks. Footy on the Saturday, cricket Monday to Friday and then footy again on the Sunday.

Drop in pitches make it possible.

Yep, few hurdles to get over first. But if approved it’s possible especially when the best in the business is overseeing it

Khawaja sitting out of QLD’s must win final SS game and going to the F1’s instead but has made himself available for the SS Final should they make it.
Bartlett, Head, Johnson and JFM all unavailable as they are to the IPL. Marnus and Carey will play for their respective states though

I’m sorry but that’s sh¡thouse from him.

The workload thing that he’s going with doesn’t hold any water. Mate you got back from Sri Lanka, what, a month ago and you don’t play another test until mid June!

And he plays no international white ball cricket and limited T10-T20 leagues.

Pretty ordinary.

If Queensland did make the final he shouldn’t be picked on principle.

And sadly it’s not going ahead and the final will be at KR Oval which isn’t ideal.
Crows and the AFL used their muscle to bully the SACA into submission. Absolute hypocrites as usual

Fark that’s disappointing

The AFL and Crows both wanted a cash guarantee that they would be compensated if an injury arose from the ground.
The AFL are more than happy to have concerts, monster trucks, motor cross etc on Marvel and then play football on a sandpit a week later though

Doesn’t Marsh sponsor cricket? Couldn’t they broker a decent insurance deal to provide injury cover.

Another ton for Jake Lehman.

Good to see Carey get another ton too. The SA lads are piling on the runs, 6/576

Carey has been in absolute peak form the last 12 months, hope it continues
