The Cricket Thread (part 11) - from The Champing

100% agree. His whole performance was a :fu:to the powers that be and he is calling their bluff re sacking Baz and Key, in addition to knowing Brooks will ■■■■ up as captain and the team is ■■■■■

He’ll play county next year and hope the poms get smashed in the first test, then hope the media drives an SOS for him to return. He’s itching for another me me me hero narrative

Smashed ‘em. Cop that, Poms.

If how they played this tournament was related to how disappointed they were with their performance last time around, some teams in the 2029 ODI WC are not going to know what hit them.

Australia absolutely blitzed every side they played.

Nothing better than seeing India’s horrible form at the moment. Their drop in form in T20 matching their decline in the Test arena too.

Their fans, online, rival the likes of Argentina, the US and Brazil (in football) for their toxicity. Pretty quiet at the moment!

Wow out for 76

They will quit international cricket soon and just play the IPL for 12 months of the year.

Great article on Big Ferg

Cam Green should read that article and he will be very worried if he does.

Another game overnight. Another loss. This time to seal a second straight series defeat.

That’s a shame…

The wonder boy hasn’t had a great start to his international career. I guess he’s going to find it harder when the pitches aren’t the absolute roads that are served up in the IPL.

He’s got time to work it all out. Heck, even if it takes him the best bit of a decade, he’ll still be pretty young by international cricket standards.

So there it is. The BBL is opening in Chennai this year.

@Donslaught9 is heading over and is super keen apparently.

Renegades have also ditched Marvel Stadium and will use MCG and Junction Oval for home games.

Would rather avoid the likely case of dysentery, so it’s a no from me.
