This is one where it can all be righted (and thus should be) by reinstating India’s review.
Agreed but the replays the TV um saw looked different to the one the broadcaster showed a bit later.
But India lose a review because the clowns can’t follow protocol

It was, but even on the Umpire footage the ball moves towards the off side then back to the onside off the edge. It went pad / bat / pad in that order.
That said, Marsh was a long way forward and I thought there was a distance at which DRS is deemed unable to track? ( And I think ball tracking is often garbage anyway).

Third ump has been pretty bush league all series with the reviews. The zoomed in front on HD kayo showed afterwards clearly showed pad first. Ump didn’t even check that angle and said ‘fck it’.
Yes impact would’ve been umpires call, but still. Do it properly FFS.

Yeah exactly. Get the process right.
The way they rushed through the KL Rahul dismissal last test was horrible too. I still think the spike was bat hitting pad for that one but even if you think otherwise, he didn’t give it anywhere near enough consideration.

Still amazed that the angle that showed the ball hitting pad, then deflecting to bat/pad was not available to the umpire. But as others have said, hitting in line was umpires call, so the DRS would have not overturned the on field decision.
It was only a matter of time, Marsh looked like a walking wicket.
