I don’t belive this information is in the snippet

Finger spin is king in the subcontinent these days. Blokes who spear the ball into the wicket and let conditions do the work. Square spinning balls that sometimes grip and spin or sometimes slide on and smash pads and stumps.

Swepson was on the last tour to Sri Lanka but since then they’ve view Kuhnemann (who spins in the same direction) as the better option.

As to Boland, just horses for courses, clearly for this course Starc is the better option if we only pick one seamer.

Boland would have to be a near certainty to be in the WTC final side at Lords, given it won’t be a boring road prepared just for England.

Errr, yeah. Go and have a look at who took the wickets in that game.

All our animals have sweet, non aggressive natures, much like most cricket players.

Adam White on SEN thinks they’ll go this way first test:

Uzi
Head
Marn
Smith
Inglis
Webster
Carey
Starc
Murphy
Lyon
Kuni

He thinks SK might miss first test in a horses for courses selection. Inglis plays spin well and they’ll want to open with Head

I’d be happy with that. I’d love to see what Inglis can do as a counter punching middle order player at test level. You’d imagine these strips are going to be quite challenging for batting so it could be a tough initiation but I’d like to see it.

I don’t like it but if it happens it happens. Doesn’t make sense to drop Konstas when we are screaming for a long term opener.
Inglis won’t feature in the WTC, the Windies tour and possible the Ashes so makes little sense to play him for two games. I’d much rather another 2 games into Konstas and gear him up as a long term opening bat

Yeah I don’t see it to be honest. Smells like Whitey’s having an alternative view just the sake of an alternative view.

In other news, Green likely to be only available as a batter for the WTC final.

Batter and part of a new fielding dynamic, with Green covering from first to fourth slip, and Webster from fifth slip to backward point.

Makes me feel things!

Hahahaha damn. I’m sorry mate, can’t be supporting England out of principal. However, I won’t be too aggrieved if your lot manage to take home the Ashes.

Hobart putting on a six hitting exhibition at the moment.

And then a wicket. Of course.

This David fella goes okay

In full flight he is great fun to watch.

He was 25 off 25.

Finished with 68 off 38.

That was actually a very mature innings from him. Gave himself time before he tried to go ballistic.
