Thank you sir, my efforts were not wasted.

I tried telling her baldericks definition of her species but to no avail.

Victor’s feeling a bit knackered this week. Felt pretty guilty dropping him off at the vet :unamused:

Anyone got any experience with collar-mounted video cameras? Beastie isn’t adjusting well to me being back in the office and is escaping her run and touring the neighbourhood. Trying to work out how she’s doing it so i can spoil her fun (and keep her off the #$&!%! road, and out of the neighbour’s alpaca paddock…)

Well she is either going under it or over it ? If there is no big hole dug, then she is a climber.

She’s been going under it for about a fortnight now, but I finally blocked off the last hole and I don’t reckon she can any more.

I assume that means she’s going over, but I could have sworn it’s too high to jump (and the landing too uncertain on the other side), and I don’t think it’s climbable either. Trick I learned from the blokes who did the cat/fox proof fence at Mt Rothwell, leave a bit of slack in the wire because dogs and foxes don’t like climbing wobbly fences.

So I’ve got no damn idea, basically.

If the dog’s driven enough, they’re not going to worry at all about the landing. Unless maybe they hurt themselves doing it.

Have you considered a career change - taking up alpaca farming?

We had a border collie who could climb like a mountain goat. I had to put a roof on her run.

She never went far but we had farmers with guns around us.

I just received a text message from my local Vet to warn that dog baits (specifically balls of meat spiked with snail bait and broken glass) have been noted in our area (outer east Melb) over the last week, and for people to be vigilant when out walking their dogs.

I get that there are a heap of irresponsible ■■■■■■ out there who let their dogs ■■■■ everywhere and think it’s beneath them to clean it up afterwards (and yes I, like anyone, would get really bloody tired of cleaning dogshit off my nature-strip if I was on a regular dog-walking thoroughfare). This, however, is definitely not the answer. WTF is wrong with people?
