Australian Story: Dog Gone – The Hunt for Valerie airs tonight Monday 6 October at 8.00pm on ABC TV and ABC iview.
I love dogs, I love Kangaroo Island and I love a happy ending, so a must-watch for me.
Every dog deserves this
Didn’t post while I was on holiday but between my son and a good friend “dog sitting” our mate Fergus somehow managed to slip a disc. We’ve been home now for 6 weeks, kept him immobile, to the best of our abilities, got his weight down a bit and he’s miles better than when my son took him to the vet when his legs went. At least thats what the vet told us. But next week he’s booked in for a cat scan because the vet said a x-ray wouldn’t pick up the problem, 3000$ farking dollars!!! And it’s on the same day I’m booked in for a cat scan on my lungs. I bet mines cheaper. I asked if we could go in together but my doc said no. ![]()
Your vet is a crook
Animal CT price wise, seems like you’ve done (comparatively) well.
3 years ago my dogs emergency CT was somewhere around $4-5k I think, that plus 3 nights in their ICU added up real quick. That was after a couple of months, and another couple of $k, of tests showing nothing.
Don’t tell @Bacchusfox ![]()
Where can one partake in Yoga with puppies ?
I need to do this.
Monty tried making friends with a bee the other day. Said bee didn’t want said friendship.
Stung right on the snout, nasty reaction straight away but after about 4-5 hours of being kept under observation at the Vet he was good to go
Wonder if Monty learnt a lesson or will Monty try and make friends with the next bee he meets? ![]()
Hi all quick question, my boy Jett is now into his 13th year, he is a Lab x Golden retriever, with the onset of warmer weather like high 20’s into 30’s his breathing becomes very raspy and laboured, once he’s back inside in the air con or it’s cooler outside he is fine, has anyone seen this with these breeds, he is booked in to vet for a check on Tuesday. TIA
Edit- eating, pooing, weeing and sleeping all fine.
