Very sad news CJ. Take care.
At the opposite stage of life to those in the thread who’ve lost dogs (my condolences): here’s our 8 month old Sir Wellington - mischievous bundle of energy
Best wishes @Captain_Jack . I remember a forum footy match thread one year had a photo of you with a small dog - I’ve always imagined you with a small dog since (and always will).
Ha, mischievous written all over his face, what an absolute cutie.
Thanks for the kind thoughts BD, Kuti has attended 2 forum footy matches, travelling from Traralgon, once by car and once by train. She loved her carrier and would happily sit beside it for more than hour waiting, as she knew it meant she was going on a trip. Kuti was happy to travel, and made the trip with us from Traralgon to Queensland a year ago. She delighted in going everywhere with us, actually she insisted on it. She had originally been raised by a young Thai couple who left her alone in an apartment all day from 7 to 7, while they went to work. As a result she fretted if left on her own. Then she was given to the parents, who loved her but were busy running their own business, regularly commuting from Traralgon to Frankston. My wife worked for them and they saw us taking care of us so they asked us to take her full time and we all made it official. We were getting her used to be being at home alone for a couple of hours, as l considered that some days it was too hot for her to be in the car. She was handling that transition very well. Now she is gone far too soon. She was 9 years old and had many more years to live and love to give… and receive.
Sorry for your loss CJ, cherish all those good memories.
This thread can be the best thread, it can also be the worst. Today it is the later.
My dog passed last July. And we have not rushed to get another.
But we have a recent addition on the weekend.
A groodle, called Maple.
She is one good looking little pup. Enjoy.
Jazz is a real beauty.
Out little mascot ![]()
Thanks for that.
Thanks Captain - he is roughly 10yo and is starting to slow down as we all are. I know you would still miss Kuti and I hope your next pup is as good as the last.
Dog being dog no matter the situation.

Just got off the phone about a new dog. I pick up a Pomsky on Wednesday. He went to another family and l was disappointed, but one of their kids is allergic to dog hair so he is being returned. I had set my heart on him and hoped that somehow he would still get to me. The universe listened and responded. Only 14 months old, and about the same size as Kuti. He won’t replace her, there is no replacing her. Instead he will carve out his own niche in our hearts, and that is the way it should be. Blitz is the first to hear my news, even before my wife. She flew out this morning to go home to Sumatra and is in the air as l type. I will send her a link to see when she arrives. Before she left she gave me permission to get another dog, as long as it was a small one, so this little guy will be perfect. Pictures to follow on Wednesday arvo. Cheers all.
As promised, here is a pic to introduce Loki, our new 2 year old pupparoo. He is part Pomeranian, part Spitz and some part Husky. He was brilliant in the car on the way home, very chilled. Next up a walk on the beach and the off to the vet for a vaccination, later tonight he will get a bath.
He’s a very handsome boy, CJ. Sure to bring you a lot of joy.
I’m convinced Milos spirit is in my house.
I was lying in my bed watching tv and I heard her bark in front my bedroom door.
When she was alive I didn’t close the door so she could come in into my bed room but since she’s passed I have the door closed.
Her bark must be a sign of her wanting me to open the door so she could come in.
Gotta say it freaked me out a bit lols I miss her.
