One of the reasons l was so quick to get Loki after Kuti was laid to rest was because l missed her so much. Some people think it was callous on my part to do so, but every time l look at him, he reminds me of her and how wonderful she was. That being said he is rapidly carving out his own niche in my heart. I don’t compare them or the experiences l have had with both of them, l just note the differences in their characters and appreciate those differences.

Why callous, because so soon? My old boy Fergus is getting on for 10 and has a neuro problem that the vet said might be fixable but with no guarantee so on full time medication for the rest of his days instead. We also have Jasper the rescued labradoodle and he should last a few more years than Fergus. My only worry about getting another dog if anything was to happen to them is the thought of a new pup outliving me.
Congrats on finding a new buddy, I’m sure he’ll get spoilt rotten with a lot of love.
