Not bad turnover, only three losses and three new players. Excited for the season ahead!
Not playing with any females on our list this season, either.
The wheelchair team somehow went from 40-49 vs the Saints to finishing 40-75.
But we still Won The Weekend.
| Team | For | Against | Result | Percentage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AFL | 85 | 85 | D | 100% |
| VFLW | 64 | 47 | W | 136% |
| VFL | 97 | 85 | W | 114% |
| VWFL | 40 | 75 | L | 53% |
| TOTAL | 286 | 292 | 2.5 - 1.5 | 97.9% |
Well done anyway Bombers!!!
Sneaking into Team of the Week when your team lost 1-27 is impressive!
Since only mentioned in other threads as part of our Losing The Weekend:
CWFL 1-29
VWFL 53-90
Didn’t find the game stream but there are lots of clippings from both games (inc interviews of our players) on Instagram.
CWFL (reserves) beat the Hawks 97-14. We had two women playing (I don’t think we had played any in previous years).
Seniors beat the Hawks 149-35.
go Kez!!!
Ummmm… this is not a good start to the Winning of the Weekend.

EDIT: then we streamed forward, fumbled, and rushed our first score.
Set shot after the halftime siren falls short and is punched away.
1-50
This Community reserves standard is… not great. So many missing or short “kicks”, by both teams.
