Yes… but doesn’t help Billy who loses his podium spot…

And now I realise I’ve forgotten Seven Days In Sammystown. Don’t think it would be a podium album, but I’m very fond of it…

Have you adjusted your votes?

And if so, what year(s)?

Yeah, fixed 83, 84 and 87.

FFS… 88 and 89 rejigged. Doolittle now rightfully on the podium…

I think I’ll have to get the work experience kid to check all your work from now on.

I always assumed Baker was encyclopedic with his musical knowledge.
I just don’t know now…

It has been alarming seeing the number of dodgy entries he has tried to get through.

Hence the increased workload for the work experience kid

See what happens when you use dodgily-tagged mp3’s as your source of information…

Ah, let’s be honest, I’ve had a shocker…

I think the takeaway from this thread is that a lot of people would struggle to fill their lists if Peter Garrett had decided to stick with being a lawyer after all!

Thread needs more Floodland by Sisters of Mercy though.

No, I’m not going to do a list, I was 3 in 1980, and besides, criticising the effort of others is more fun than doing it yourself…

Nice. These guys got really big when they embraced 80s cheese in the middle of the decade, but their first four albums (OMD, Oganisation, Architecture & Morality and Dazzle Ships) have some really good and really interesting stuff on them. Absolutely worth checking out for those whose musical tastes extend beyond guitar bands.

Also digging your inclusions of Nebraska and Heaven Up Here.

So much good music in this decade, '84 probably the best year of the decade (pretty good for EFC supporters, too) in my opinion, followed by '81. I struggled most with '83.
