‘94 is a hell of a year but no one going with Jeff Buckley?

I’ve got half a dozen ‘94 albums that can’t reach the podium but would be #1 in ‘96

This is the year, man.

What a time to be alive!

Euroboy joins Turbonegro, and they put out one of the greatest Rock’n Roll Albums of all time.

Just giving credit where it’s due…

I’m a child of the 60s so the 90s is a foreign country to me. But with this and Spotify I’m impressed. Also I found You Am I 25 years after the fact but how fkn good were they live???!

I get it, but that’s half the task. Leaving out albums you really, really don’t want to.

I had no Blur on the list, despite being top 4 or 5 on the list for 94 and 97.

Plus, I reckon I could do a 3-2-1 for every month of 1994 and it’d still be tough.

See, if chumpires gave HM’s you could see where the votes should have been going, instead of farking Cripps…

1991 is…impossible.
But I’ll do it.
Have to, to move on…

I reckon I’ve listened to about 8 of those albums. So for the sake of diversity, I’m gonna try a few of the others. I kicked off with Archers Of Loaf. Track 1 good. Next few have been a bit :grimacing:. This could be quite the mission.

I don’t know about other genres, maybe it was a golden age of US punk, I seriously wouldn’t know.

But for pop rock, particularly in this country, it’s the death throes of Farnsy/Barnesy/Diesel.
It’s MC Hammer.
Roxette and Milli Vanilli and Michael Bolton and also Hair Metal doing ballads.

It’s dire, and 1991 had to happen and couldn’t come quickly enough.

Don’t do it to yourself. I’m not gonna listen to yours.

It was also the era of “baggy” from the UK.
You know, that electro-clash pop-rock… think Jesus Jones, EMF, Happy Mondays, Soup Dragons, Inspiral Carpets, The Beloved, Carter USM, Pop Will Eat Itself, BAD II etc. A bunch of blokes wearing oversize clothes and sporting brushed-foward Caesar haircuts. A few nice singles in there, but fark me… most of it was bloody awful. Music for popping disco biscuits, but absolutely shithouse when listened to sober…
