The Jarmy Army

I did see that David but didn’t want what I had to say getting lost in another discussion.

Love the JarmyArmy mate. Thinking of enlisting myself.

Brilliant. Count me in for next season!

I actually like this idea and would like to see it become a “thing”. Would be great to have a hundred or so people at the VFL each week with jarmies on.

That’s our plan for the AFL and VFL next season.

There has been a lot of talk and speculation about us and what we stand for. Since Bomberblitz is one of the best sources online for anything Bomber related I thought I’d better come here and explain.

I came up with the idea last year just for a bit of fun. But at the time we didn’t do anything about it.

Then later in the season this year Dave and I could see the despair on the faces of the supporters and thought someone needs to change this. So before the Adelaide game we got our Jarmys and decided even if we lose some of the supporters will have a laugh and maybe even smile seeing two grown men wearing PJs to the footy, plus they look pretty cool.

It worked and we even had opposition supporters coming up and saying they liked what we were wearing and asking for photos with us.

So from that we decided if just us and at that game Brodie as well could make that sort of impression we would try to make this grow and keep it going.

With the launch of our FB group, Instagram and now Twitter the cause has grown and we are expecting a large contingent of Jarmy clad supporters at the game this week. Last week we had chats with a lot of supporters and players and everyone loved what we were doing and some of the players even expressed how happy it made them seeing us and hoped we kept going and growing our group.

Before anyone thinks I’m here trying to recruit members to our cause, I’m not I just want everyone to know we are not just a bunch of drunken yobbos at the footy we are loud proud passionate supporters trying to bring a little fun back to the footy and help raise the spirits of the EFC supporters and players. Our club has been put through the ringer the last 3 years and we all need to learn how to have fun again one pair of Jarmys at a time.

Cheers Chris

Fantastic idea, brings a bit of fun back. Thinking about getting a pair up here and watching every game next year on Poxtel in my Jarmies.

do the PJ pants have that slit in the front?

could be a bit awkward if you go commando

Yrah, specially if we’re winning

Yer it shows ya “NUTS”…

Gee i hope this worked… New small laptop…

The button is concealed/pretty snug fit.

Just be glad it’s not raining Sunday – heavy droopy clingy pants would be a bigger threat!

That’s the only way @Stallion would were them.

Easy access for when DANGER, BIG JON and SHREDWARDS kick goals.

Is there any female versions?

Remember that avatar or the chick with the essendon scarf?

That's our plan for the AFL and VFL next season.

This could become huge for us. Get with it. Puts a bit of fun back into footy and will make our club even more of a legend than it already is.

Unfortunately, Best and Less Keysborough sold out of Jarmies…

Legends. Good fun. Good times. Thanks for starting it.

Shirley now we can incorporate some 'barmy army' style chants at games (they were in full voice at northport with stevie) decked out in THE FLANNEL Even an addition to the GS Also great idea for the active area, no?

They were in the GS for the coll game. They sorted out the usual guy who’s always having a go at bags and everyone else. Was amusing seeing a blokes in pajamas getting angry. The smell of booze was overwhelming. But yeah good on them.
