The Long Walk 2015

The Long Walk Together 2015

Come together for another great line up of music and family fun at The Long Walk - Together 2015 in Melbourne on Saturday 30 May.

The Long Walk kicks off with a community celebration at Federation Square from noon with great activities for all the family.

There will be workshops, games, craft and information stalls, food vendors and Essendon’s Bomber Challenge.

The free Wellbeing concert from 1pm will feature deadly local artists, including Archie Roach, Johnny Lovett, Kinja, Philly, Indigenous Hip Hop Project, Illana Atkinson, Jayden Lillyst and Kilmore International School. 3KnD will broadcast live throughout the afternoon.

Then join together at 5.30pm with Michael Long on The Long Walk to Dreamtime at the 'G, prior to the annual Essendon v Richmond game, the highlight of the AFL’s Indigenous Round.

Dreamtime packages (including the walk out on to the ground) are sold out but you can still join Michael in the walk from Fed square to the gates of the G at 5:30pm. I’ll be tagging along with the wife, the sis and HH junior. Anyone else? If you’ve never done it before it’s a great experience and easily the classiest way to reach the ground. Note that the main party head off at 5:30pm but then it’s a bit of a dog’s breakfast (in a good way) as stragglers all join in, so don’t worry if you’re a bit late.

you forgot the relton sauce

Gonna grab a foot long dreamtime sub on damper with extra witchetty grubs from one of the food stalls.
