They sang it alright but Pretty sure housemartins is a cover. We used to sing along with that to our toddler daughter, substituting her name for âcaravanâ. Didnât play it for years and when she later heard it aged about 10 revealed she had been convinced the actual song had her name in it! They became The Beautiful South didnât they, or is that the other way round?

My daughter had a similar issue because Iâd sung Georgie Girl her whole life with her name replacing Georgie. She found out the truth when she was 15!
