Won’t be the saviour but at least it gives the team a tall target to kick to what’s wrong with playing him untill Joe’s is ready?
If we beat the winless bottom of the ladder team I will look stupid?
Let’s just say I’ve seen this movie before.
Oh I agree with you. We def ain’t them.
I think it’s not helping us. We’d be better off structuring up properly.
If not Stewart then Francis forward. And Zerk into defence.
You will look stupid for saying the season was over and saying we lost at selection.
Sorry, I was yelling so loudly I forgot to state that I was agreeing with you.
Well, Townsend was only in richmond’s 2017 forward line for 5 weeks, and he’s already played 6 for us. So that’s not really that similar either.
If the club wants to continue with a small fwd line then they need to teach the players to lower the eyes and kick the ball low. A small fwd line won’t work if we continually bomb it long high inside 50
Gee. We haven’t even played yet.
It was still a good line, though.
if you can’t see our forward line is at least 1 tall short (i don’t give a fk who, Aaron Sandilands for all i care) then your watching with some serious blinkers on. we’re not even attempting to change it
Stewart should be picked. Just because he’s tall? I reckon that’s a valid enough reason to. We have nothing to kick to down there. Smack has been far more miss than hit this season. He’s a 3rd string forward being asked to play a lone hand as a tall forward, even more so now with Stringer out. He hasn’t kicked a goal the past 2 games. He needs help. Yes, Stewart is no star, but all we need right now is another big body we can kick to down the line and help connect us from HB to HF, and also a point of reference deep. We need someone who will compete and give us a d EFC net contest for the Amal’s to get around. We aren’t getting that out of Smack at the minute and we sure as ■■■■ won’t out of Bellchambers. We might as well have a hatstand in his place.
Against a side that is 0-7, this should ultimately be a percentage boosting game for any half decent side, if we lose or just fall over the line, the selection has been a failure.
this would be the time most “half decent clubs” would bring in someone who is ready to go and maybe been out the system for a while, we lose it has been a wasted opportunity to get match games into Draper and Stewart.
I did say could!
We may well win. But I bet we don’t win well. Most likely fall over the line by under a goal.
I think that may be the weakest forward line I’ve ever seen take the field for an Essendon side (outside of random injury affected rd 22 debacles). I still think it would comfortably rinse the 2016 team.
We’ll win.

I agree we are short, but Stewart isn’t any sort of answer to that problem, he just isn’t good enough and is easily beaten anyway. he looked okay when we had Joe and Hooker down there, but to use him as the only tall would actually not benefit us in any shape.
So your reason for not wanting to pick him is made up stats? The main reason he hasn’t played for 2 years is injury, he’s been playing well in scratch matches, he’s a big body which we have clearly been lacking in the last few weeks. He’s tall enough to actually be a target for long balls inside 50 when our main targets have been Townsend and Tippa
If not playing for 2 years is a reason to not play him then that means he’s condemned to never playing again by your reasoning?
It’s an utterly shitehouse forward line. But do people really think that’s why we lost last week?
Well raz played defence last week soooo defence was:
Hooker, Hurley, redman, raz, saad, McKenna, Ridley. 7 defenders
Which of these played mid last week?
I really don’t know what you’re on about
WHERE THE ■■■■ IS ZERK
That really should be the only question for this week.
