Should all future Essendon captains wear the famous Number 5 jumper? It could be referred to as 'The Hirdy'.
Should have retired it after TD.
Disgrace it was handed on to pick seventysomething.
I'm still waiting for someone in the media to start referring to him as "disgraced former Essendon coach James Hird". They're fond of reductive labels (see also Brent "much maligned" Stanton).
No, these gimmicks are just that. Gimmicks.
It's as pointless as Port and #1, Richmond #17 and Adelaide #19 (not sure Adelaide still do it)
