I’m really pleased we are giving Hoare at shot at it.

I very much like respecting the players that give time to our VFL program.

Im confused, the article says that the gutter club Fark carlton is in full swing, but then cryptically talks about players training with Ess?!

I only pasted the important bit. Left out stuff about other clubs

Fair enough. Thank you for posting.
That other club word should have been auto deleted from the post

This is good news for the kid. Hope he can get a decent run at it and remain injury free. We need his size and kicking skills down back.

At the very least having a fit Baldwin, Hoare and Sellers on the VFL squad will provide us ongoing structure from mature age players at both ends of the ground.

Essendon invite high-flying Swan Districts forward Tom Edwards to be a train-on to finish pre-season Swan Districts forward Tom Edwards will get a chance to try to earn a spot on Essendon’s list after being invited to train later this month. The West Australian can reveal the 25-year-old will head to Melbourne early next week for a stint at the Bombers who have one spot to fill on their list through the pre-season supplementary signing period. It’s a big move for Edwards, who has kicked 109 goals in 66 games for the Swans since making his league debut in 2020. Edwards is a strong-marking 191cm forward who is coming off two strong seasons, including kicking a career-best 39 goals in 19 games for the Bassendean-based club this year — including an equal career-high six against East Perth in round 12. He was on the radar of several clubs this off-season and has been working with Colin Young of Young Guns Management for the past two years. Edwards’ stint will include a chance to play in an unofficial match simulation against the Western Bulldogs at Whitten Oval on Saturday, February 15. Essendon have a strong history of grabbing mature-age players out of the WAFL in recent years. Bombers star Nic Martin has played 67 games since joining the club in the 2021 pre-season, while Alec Waterman kicked 27 goals in 22 games after being picked up the previous summer. Fremantle Dockers forward Sam Sturt suffers training injury as match simulation session halted West Coast Eagles training notes: Temperatures soar, Elijah Hewett missing & new accessory for Elliot Yeo Former-listed defender Kaine Baldwin and Essendon VFL star Will Hoare are currently training with the club in the hopes of earning an AFL lifeline, but one is set to make way for Edwards’ arrival. Edwards isn’t the only Swan Districts product hoping to get a chance through the SSP draft, with former Hawthorn first-round draftee Denver Grainger-Barras training at Carlton.

Sounds like another hidden Rosa gem. Time will tell of course, it won’t surprise me if he does well. EFC is taking risks, now for the payoff and reward.

‘Baldwin or Hoare to make way for his arrival’.

So for Edward’s to be invited and train, one gets the flick!? Is that right?

yeah, rules are you can only have two players auditioning per available SSP spot.
