If he goes down as LTI as well we can get another SSP which allows for a good income for Will who is well regarded within the club. Could be more to this

Keep reading comments about support for the kids, geez Martin is injured, not dead. Outside of his rehab, he should have time to help even more if anything.

Everything aside, if Setters isn’t fit and ready to go Rd 1 it’s an absolute waste of a list spot.

What are the coaches doing? How about focusing on developing the second youngest list in the comp. You want to add another 18 year old, who would likely need a massive amount of development to that group. This isn’t fantasy land where we have an infinite number of development resources.

Genuinely feel a higher percentage of our young players have shown signs of steady improvement (Caddy, Roberts, Kako, Hayes, Gerreyne, even Prior) whereas in previous years “bright starts and steady decline or plateau” was the norm (Perkins, Cox, Francis, Jones [admittedly his future never looked super bright]).
I know it’s handfuls of players but it’s not a crazy thing to say, especially given you can see the investment in development by the significant increase in the number of coaches moulding young minds at training.

We were pretty rubbish in both 2022 and 2023 but weren’t close to being able to take Sheezel or Watson.
