Orica team for Tour of Albasini

Bewley
Kreuziger
S.Yates
Howson
Edmondson
Haig

Albasini

S.Yates a late addition to the team in preparation for the TDF - Edmondson and Albasini can do well in the prologue - Maybe one or two chances for Albasini to win a stage - And hope one of the climbers can snare a stage.

LBL - Break has 10 minutes with 190kms to go - Gerrans in a pre-race interview declared Albasini the favorite - Expect Orice to attack the last 50kms - Multiple options with 2 x Yates, Kreuziger and Albasini to obtain a tactical advantage.

Impey has crashed out.

Valverde wins LBL from Martin and Kwiatkovski - Matthews a surprising 4th and Albasini 7th,A.Yates 8th and S.Yates last.

Martin dashed away with 500 metres to go, then with 300 metres to go Valverde went to the head of the peleton and rode Albasini off his wheel - Awesome riding.

Stinky.

Edmondson 3rd, nice ride.
TJay went down in the wet conditions but recovered not to lose too much time.

Thought Edmondson could go close - Freak performance by Felline - Excellent performance by Dowsett - He’s one who should be of interest to Orica but only if he is 100% committed to road cycling.

Stage 2 of the Tour of Albasini - More of a mixed medium mountain stage - Could be too hard for Albasini.

Albasini too good.

Albasini did exactly the same in a technical finish at Pais As Vasco. He knows when to hit out his sprint. AND today he has another chance.

Would not surprise. He loves winning at the Romandie.

Stage 2 reduced by 34kms - Wet weather protocol.

Kung from the break holds on to win stage 2 of Romandie - You needed to get a rider into the break in such miserable conditions - Stage 3 conditions seem to be worse so it could be a break again today.

Tour of Yorkshire starts today - Have my doubts if Ewan can get to the finish today - Orica only has a 6 rider team.

Viviani wins stage 3 of Romandie in a close finish from Colbrelli, Schwartzman with Edmondson a close 4th - Edmondson ttacked the sprint with 300 metres to go and was reeled in with 25 metres to go - Wait another 50 metres and he wins the stage.

In a case of deja vu, Groenwegen just pips Ewan in Stage 1 of Yorkshire - Unfortunately, Cort crashed in the last 100 metres and suffered a broken collarbone - Wasn’t riding the Giro so no major disruption to his program.

Simon Yates wins the queen stage of the Romandie, Porte a close 2nd.
Yates now leads the GC from Porte, with the ITT to come. Porte would like his chances, although his ITT isn’t what it use to be.
Watch Richie go on the last climb.

Bouhanni beats Ewan in Yorkshire, but Ewan gets the GC lead.

In other news, Chad Young, who crashed in the Tour of Gila a week ago, has passed away.
