Landa confirmed to Movistar.

Strange move. Landa will still be number three. Weird.

Given the backstage pass included him more than once while Dan Jones was still over there, I’m guessing he’s still got time for Michael Matthews

A domimant performance by Matthews. Posted previously he left on good terms. Got an offer to good to refuse in May 2016. He advised Orica yet they still built the team around himself and A.Yates at the 2016 TDF.

He should win one or two classics or monuments in his career

If you consider it’s a Spanish team, it’s not that surprising.
Valverde must be coming to an end as well.

Geriant Thomas extends at Sky.

Surprising that Thomas would stay at Sky. He has so many attributes that could be better used at other teams.

Landa is 28. Means he will be 30 before he can lead a GT.

Pity that McCarthy’s 5th finish has been ignored by the Australian media.

ive seen news reports that froome maintained his 18 second lead…

$$$
In some respects, that means less left to poach one of the Yates.

it would be longer if he stayed at Sky.
If Aru moves to Bahrain, as rumoured, Landa could have done better at Astana.

Aru and Nibali going to be on the same team again?

Appears to be a fair chance.
Nibali is getting on, he didn’t look great at the Giro.

Froome looking vulnerable again…

Landa about to get paid

Landa is off to Movistar - cyclingfever has that as “confirmed”.
Aru is the one that is most likely going to Emirates, and he’s worth a fair bit more than Landa IMO

Strong winds expected for the last part of the stage.

Echelons perhaps to make it interesting.

Sunweb’s tremendous Tour continues

Posted at the time that losing Matthews would hurt Orica - Though he got an offer to good to refuse. An awesome team performance by Sunweb today. Keukeliere did well to get Yates through the echelons.

Great day for Sunweb

Horrible day for Quick Step, sheesh they blew it at both ends.
