That was a seriously impressive ride.
Dropped ELB and Reusser, this year’s form rider, like a stone at the end.

Its no surprise for me because she is a gifted climber. It was a matter of time. She must be some chance to win the GC.

There doesn’t seem to be any terrible descents in this year’s Giro, they typically are her undoing.
She’s been specifically working on descents since the surgery, so hopefully she’s better in that space.

I have a theory about poor descenders. They go better on technical descents because the speed is lower, as opposed to wide, open fast descents. Anyway Gigante in suisse was in the leading group with Zigart a notoriously poor descender. Zigart dropped back one group while Gigante dropped back three groups. Enough said.

Bloody hell, that explosive crash of the rear dozen of the (reduced) peloton with 6.0km to go…

Pog wins the stage and reclaims yellow. Extends his lead on Remco by 2+10=12 seconds.

I suspect the TDF may get worse for Jayco. Dunbar brought down in a crash in the final 5kms in a reduced peleton of 25. Appears to have a wrist injury.

Looks like Haig also crashed out.

HAig DNF concussion. Buitrago also concussion will not start A shocking day for Bahrain. Also Almeida with a fractured rib will be restricted.

I need to have a crack at Jayco’s management. They foolishly decided to try an old school preparation for O’Connor’s TDF preparation which means a slow build up in which we you disregard lead up races. Unfortunately if you have a crash then you race/season can go up in smoke and if you look at O’Connor’s history he’s best when he’s at a good level from the beginning of the season. Coomentators talk about O’Connor’s knee, howrver, I believe his issue is with the shoulder. Anyway in 2026, he will be riding the National’s.

Gigante romps in the final stage of the Giro. If she did not lose 1m and 42s in the non cross winds stage then she wins GC. They need to get a team around Gigante for the world’s. It was frustrating that Smulders of Liv alula jayco when she got chased down for no reason in the last 6kms. If this was the men’s peleton this would not happen.

Yellow flips again off a breakaway win in the first (moderate, but all-the-way) mountain stage.

Congrats Ben Healey with a 27 second lead on Pog.

TDU route to be announced tomorrow. The Aussie riders will be licking their lips with a 3.6km prologue which will help them win gc.

Hagens Berman Jayco rider dies in crash.

Then last year Drege who had signed for Jayco died in the Tour of Austria. Apparently Privatera collapsed on the bike with heart issues.

Stage 11 of the TDF was a cracker. The break of three basically stayed at the front for the whole race and only ever had a lead of one minute. Schmid needed to gamble in the last km to win the stage.

Pog=Machine. Head shoulders above everybody else.

Assuming the merger of Intermarche and Lotto occurs then expect Jayco to make a big play for Girmay. They will be a big chance because Girmay prefers to be in smaller teams. I think Grmay is abit over-rated but he will be a good fit for Jayco.

Groenewegen hopeless in the sprint. In perfect position with 3kms to go, loses the wheel on a roundabout and thats the end of the race.

He’s been bad all season, and his poor showing at the TdF is hardly a surprise.

STRAYA!

Thank God O’connor won a stage after Jayco stuffed up his preparation. Expect him to do good things at the Vuelta. To think Jayco has won the Queen Stage at the Giro and the TDF. Wow!
