I thought it might make a decent sunny morning track. Then relistened to it and thought ■■■■■■ hell D’angelo drags out the vocals on this. Common adds some nice enough, reflective verses but this as an instrumental is probably best on its own.

This was beat maker (don’t think he really was a Producer) J.Dilla’s work. The sob story is that Dilla whom many tend to talk up a lot, the way artists tend to be reflected upon posthumously was at the peak of his powers and becoming highly influential. Passing due to a rare blood disorder, a few days after the release of his Donuts LP.
