Iâm jealous. Iâve havenât got any monitors ATM, only headphones.
Iâve still got some old Genelecs that I bought back in the late 90s (but I didnât bring any studio gear over to WA when we moved). I thought they were pretty good monitors TBH. But, they probably wouldnât compare very well to the monitors out today.
Iâd be interested to hear what you think about yours once youâve got used to them. What are your initial thoughts?
Theyâre stunning. I canât believe how powerful they are and how much bass response they give. The speaker box is quite deep and with the twin ports put out as much as Iâll ever need. At 3/4 volume theyâre still punchy and crisp across the spectrum and as loud as I can bear sitting 1m away. 2 inputs let me plug in the computer and a synth at the same time. So glad I bought them.

Sounds perfect for what you need! Not sure what Iâll do. ATM I just use my set up to sketch musical ideasâdonât need to worry about good mixes, mastering, etc., so I can get by with my cheap headphones. But thatâll change down the track.
