I mean I’m thinking there were a lot of bands that were completely burnt out and finished, and which completely rehabbed their reputation by coming out 25 years later, and playing massive shows to fans who remembered how good their best was (and in some cases went on to record fantastic new music)
Now it’s quite possible INXS would never have done that, but even just not doing a bunch of stuff that they did would have left the reputation of their best stuff in better shape. And I reckon there’s a fair chance Hutchence would have gone on to do some interesting stuff separately.
Me too. I was kind of thinking if Hutchence doesn’t die he does some other interesting things, the rest can’t crp on the legacy from a great height, then sometime in the 2nd half of the 2010s they get together and play some great shows that everyone loves.
I listened to an interview with Gill’s wife after he died, and she talked a lot about those two, I went and listened to a track - did it have Bono on it possibly? I can’t remember what I thought.
A modern Gof4 type band with Hutchence on vocals would’ve been pretty cool if he and Gill would’ve ever gone down that path.
Weird question…I just watched The Gift clip and noticed…I think it was Gary Beers wearing a crucifix.
I always thought Shine Like It Does was a Christian song…
Were any of them especially…?
