I just can’t…
You’re the one who has to try to sleep tonight.
Knowing you said, for all the world to see, that the Eddie Current song is better than The Eve of the War.
You did that.
I just can’t…

Scared the ■■■■ out of me as a young fella . Didn’t stop me wanting to listen to it all the time.
My older sister and I used to fight over who got to sit in the front seat of mums big Valiant on the drive to school. Whoever sat up front got to pick the music. She’d always play some ABBA greatest hits tape and I’d always opt for WotW.
My grade five teacher played The Eve of the War and then asked us all to draw pictures.
After class I asked him if I could borrow the whole thing.
He said I could have it for two nights.
Big call from me, in retrospect big call from him.
Last salt.
I promise.
RICHARD BURTON!
Dun Dun Daaaahh….
Yeah-nah…I prefer lofi shoe gazing.
Farking REALLY?
I thought we’d had WotW in one of these comps recently. Was that something else?
Wind In The Willows.
I can recall someone playing something from WtW, but I’m pretty sure it was a different track and was part of a regular set .
We had a soundtrack round not that long ago, surely it was in that
Also, recruited Incoming.
10th in his first BDJ.
Pretty…pretty good.
He’ll learn from the experience.
See, if I had parents who listened to anything other than 3AR (then ABC radio’s classical radio station) or a cool older brother, then I might have grown-up having more of an appreciation for WotW than for Holst’s Planets.
I mean, there was a kid up the street who had the WotW soundtrack. If he hadn’t been so hellbent on trying to get me into Dungeons & Dragons - at which point he was carved firmly away - I may have spent more time hanging out with him and absorbed some of his musical taste.
“Learnings”
I hope you’re not asking for absolution…
Just catching up. Great comp @swoodley. Big congrats @chewy_boy
Worst possible result for me, on the fringes. Do I load up with older tracks and try to extend the window. Or do I prune hard & go for newer tunes, drop out out of contention, but build back up properly for a real challenge.
I thought you did well.
Like Peos has?
Peos is the anti BDJ at this point.
I’m sure he graded himself on how few votes he gets. And that’s a different kind of happiness.
Edit: apart from that one weird round where he went popular.
I’ll get over this.
I will.
But The Eve of the War is a miracle.
If it didn’t happen you wouldn’t believe it Could happen.
Riffs? You want riffs? Here, have a handful.
Engagement?
You like bass?
You like drums?
Maybe you want nine minutes to feel like four?
I’ve finished four to ten before.
But ■■■■■■■…
What is wrong with you people?
Final words eh?
I’ll get over it he says
I’m disappointed with the lack of salt from others.
Just Wow, now i can say i achieved something special in my life.
I did miss all the excitement, as was napping after staying up the last few nights, waiting for Stan. In the end great job by Stan the Man.
Obviously not the greatest tune to ever win a final, a bit one paced shoegazey, you either like or you don’t.
Thanks Swoods for running the comp, and Wim for getting me across to the club.
I think its great that when our club is imploding, you can open up Blitz and Blonde Dj is one of the leading threads.
The gifs, salt, to & fro banter make it even better.
Thanks to all who participate and rock there fave tunes.
Cheers to everyone…
