Is Ziggy Stardust the greatest 5th album of all time?

Nothing beats Synchronicity by The Police.
Edit: Actually, that discussion was about greatest final albums.
But I stand by my comment that it’s better than Ziggy Stardust.

As an absolute Police devotee, who saw them live at Festval Hall many years ago, Ziggy is so much better than Synchronicity.

That’s just naming albums that actually are better.
I could name a lot more 5th albums that I like more than Ziggy Stardust.

Some albums I have that aren’t as universally renowned as Ziggy, but are definitely high points for the artists:
Simple Minds - New Gold Dream
NOFX - Punk In Drublic
Gang Starr - Moment Of Truth
Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
I don’t rate Bowie at all; there isn’t a single album that I could make it all the way through. Creedence, hell yeah. Dire Straits maybe back in the 80s but not anymore. I’d put The Police at second on that list (and I wish I’d realized before I submitted my track) ANOTHER SUBURBAN EARLY MORNING…
