Yeah, I know Cantankerous Kilbey has pretty much disowned this song and album, and it’s a bit Dribble M I suppose, but I always thought The Church did this dreamy, jangly, mid-paced indie-pop well before they decided to ditch melody and go completely ponderous…

Hold on… I always thought Gold Afternoon Fix was a Wall St term for a fix in gold prices at the end of a day’s trading (or somesuch).
