Personally, fantastic albums from 1994 not in that list are from Jawbox, Gang Starr, Shellac, and Jawbreaker. Not sure any of them can match Hootie to be fair.
Edit: and Drive Like Jehu, Manic Street Preachers!

Surely it’s an easy guess…
Gang Starr is a classic
Thats a YES 7-2, next song!!, Doing Daddy duties for a couple of days and how cool to be able to blast some music, that Miss ASB 5 year old can jump around too
1994 is a great year in music.
That list was a pile of ■■■■.
Hole?? Number 1?? Fark off.
Can confirm list is garbage.
Yes for Dayglo
Easy yes
I don’t know all of the top 10, but first thought was is Neil Young, the issue is I don’t have a good dossier, and I know some love and some hate Neil Young here…
Garbage was 1995
What’s that saying about always go with your first thought?
Neil Young is correct…I’m a huge Neil Young Fan…I’ve got over 30 of his albums on my playlist and have seen him three times in concert…(2 x excellent shows, 1 x crap!!!)
yes for the song.
Live Through This is better than any Nirvana record. Easily.
Clearly Kurt wrote parts of it but no way it’s better than In utero, Nevermind or Bleed. Better than Incesticide yes. Saw hole at the ol Palace in early 95. Was nearly run over by Drew Barrymore driving a torago. Was a great show
You’d better not be messing, cos I’m gonna take some time out of my life to listen to it this week based on this post.
No, it’s not.
This seems the sort of thing you lot would have opinions on…

Looks like the author was born in about 2000 and wrote this as an intern, trying to make a mark. Whilst that doesn’t stop anyone from having an opinion, I think it’s going to be a bit different to that of people who actually ‘lived through this’.
She’s claiming 94 was the greatest year of music, of all time, and this was the greatest album, and Courtney Love is the ‘front woman for the ages’.
Laughable really.
Listening to it now. Will listen to the Nirvana catalogue once it’s done and get back to you as to whether I stand by my take.
The 2 best selling albums in Australia in 1894, at a time when albums still meant something (even if the charts were manipulated by music companies) were… Music Box by Mariah Carey and So Far So Good by Bryan Adams, which spent a combined 7 and a half months at number 1. I think we can all agree Live Through This was better than those…
