THE ROAD TO THE FLAG 2019

Hepp will be back and it appears Z Clarke has hit some form.

So with a relatively full strength midfield group our key strength will need to be winning the inside 50 count again.

One would assume Adelaides avenues to goal will be easier than ours. Best we can hope for is to limit their opportunities and just generate a lot more ourselves.

Its going to come down to percentage and we really need to improve ours. We only have to improve our goal kicking 5%, we have enough fwd entries. 5% thatā€™s all.

Can afford to lose 2 but no more. Will be interesting to see how we go with everyone falling apart.

Can def improve our fwd efficiency. We also just need to pump GC like everyone else is.

Crows have smacked them twice this year

Another computer modeled predictor has us 8th (Tigers 5th)

Hereā€™s hoping we just win one more we not expected to and get up to 6th.

We absolutely can beat the Crows this week

The road to the finals is exactly the same as itā€™s been since the beginning of the season. If you keep winning games, you make the finals and have a real shot at the flag. If you donā€™t, you donā€™t.

Adelaide will be hard. They are in red-hot form and scoring extremely heavily. Weā€™re playing them in Adelaide and we have injuries. Our wins have been very gutsy and at times weā€™ve scored reasonably freely; but weā€™ve ended up with very narrow winning margins and have a tendency to let the opposition back in when weā€™ve got on top of them. Adelaide will be hot favourites, and they deserve to be.

That doesnā€™t mean they canā€™t be beaten. By us. But it will take our best performance of the season to do it.

I have just visited 14,576,214 alternate realities and there is only one where we donā€™t win the 2019 premiership. Unfortunately, itā€™s this one.

Playing the tigers at the MCG in an elimination final would be the worst possible outcome. Iā€™d rather go to Adelaide again to be honest.

Agree, weā€™d get belted.

Wasnā€™t it only two rounds ago that Adelaide were destroyed by Port? Their form has been okay but a bit patchier than red hot.

Theyā€™re definitely beatable but weā€™d need to play at our best.

Can we get a home final and request to play at Docklands? Please?

We are overdue one against the tigersā€¦ the last two losses involved last quarter comebacks that fell short after bad first halves. Iā€™d be quietly confident - particularly if we finally tag Martin with Clarkeā€¦

Letā€™s go Saints!

Saints and Tigers win would be good.

plus Collingwood beating GWS

All three occurring, with us winning, would make it a massive round.

If a few results go our way this weekend -

We beat Adelaide
Collingwood beat GWS
Port beat Richmond

Suddenly weā€™re 5th with Gold Coast to come!

2 out of 3 are warm favourites, bring on the dead cat bounce.

And lets beat Adelaide. Thatā€™d be a thing.

I think youā€™ll find a Port Adelaide win would suit us more.
