What a waste of a ■■■■■■■ season - a season where we could have developed a new era. A season where no EFC fan was expecting anything more than bottom 4 but was realistic in the pursuit of developing a list of young players to take us to finals in the near future.
We drafted an over the hill ruckman - which wasn’t a bad strategy if we had of drafted him to
impart his experience on our younger ruckman and relieve him when he tired from his stints in the firsts. BUT NO! We played him game after game while relegating our young ruckman to the VFL.
We played Lav and Kelly - when we could have developed Hayes and Roberts.
We did play Caldwell and Durham with great success until we played Shiel and Parish.
We played Martin out of his almost AA wing position of 2023 to seemingly kill Redman’s flare off the back line.
We let Hobbs rott in the VFL, whilst we watched Menzies fumble week after week.
It’s like the guy coaching wants to set us back even further than everything else that has set us back before.
And he gave D’Ambrosio away because … well … he chose not develop him.
We did play Caddy though … after half the season had passed.
By Jesus, the second half of this season has been a complete shitshow from Mediocre Brad. He has been terrible on every farking level. Team selection, game plan, positional moves… the whole shooting match.
Go in with the same 22 in round 1 and he’ll be lucky to make the bye.
His coaching along with the stinking gifts that Dodo left, flaming and wrapped in aluminium foil, on our doorstep… I can honestly see us battling with Richmond for the spoon next year.
