The depth issue is purely by type of player – e.g. we still have a zillion extra key position defenders.

Essendon’s Mark McVeigh will play his 200th game this weekend when the Bombers clash with Melbourne.
The 29-year-old made his debut in 1999 and has played 199 games for the club. His milestone - and the promotion of Michael Quinn off the rookie list - heads Essendon’s involvement this week’s AFL Weekly News.

I think if they were committed to Francis playing, he’d be on the starting 18.

I reckon Dea is out based on Pies match ups, there isn’t one, but won’t be Francis in, will be a smaller running player. McGrath or Guelfi to play back.

I’d bring in Francis
he’s the same as Hooker he’ll just clunk anything kicked within a 20 metre radius of him, that’s most of the backline covered.
Also interesting the pies have brought in so many players into an on fire essendon, so many reasons we should win this game, which is why there’s a high chance we’ll serve up dog ■■■■
