Sit Francis in the hole in front of buddy and watch him clunk intercepts til the early morn.
it’s almost like they pick him and put him in to play on franklin, just so the kid gets destroyed and they get to say see, this is why we didn’t play him.
be interesting to see where he plays and who on.

I highly doubt he is playing on buddy.
My guess is he plays back in the Goddard role. Goddard goes forward(in rotation with Langford and Heppell) to partner Stringer/Brown. Not an ideal forward set up, but leaves our backline consistant. Hooker forward in break glass in emergency situation.
Great changes, although we look pretty small up forward unless we move Hooker/Francis up there to support Brown & Stringer as the key targets.

With Colyer/McNiece omitted…Dea staying in, Stringer in…I feel like we have selected a side to withstand any physical intimidation that Sydney might try to bring. Rather than try to get the ball outside and run around them.

Which is surely exactly what will happen.
It’s not going to be Hooker, Hurls, Francis & Dea in backline with Goddard 7th def.
We will be back to 3 pronged fwd line now that Stringer has returned.

The fact they dropped McNiece and added Francis suggests to me, and I’m no expert, that Hooks is going forward and will probably give Tinkerbell a rest for 5 to 10 mins per quarter. Hooks has done it before so it probably makes sense in the short term. Which probably means Hurls goes to Buddy which is OK but also means Hurls won’t get loose to play the damaging sweeper role.
Or Hooks goes back and we go short up forward, which might work if Fanta is on.
Maybe we run Dea as a ruckman and cross our fingers.
A lot of iffs. Good thing this isn’t a crucial game?!?

Exciting team no doubt but we are pretty small up front, will need to lower the eyes which hasn’t really been a strength.
I just can’t see them starting Hurley on him. He hasn’t taken the best forward for three years. I think Hooker will get him and Hurley will play lose and double team him.

They’ll throw Franga in the mid/fwd rotation with Langers and Stringer. Nothing surer.
