The team. Which, by the way, where issss? Round 6 vs Pies is here

I assume he’s on a one year contract given his age, along with the fact that we were told he was initially going to be moved to the rookie list this season (I think the Colyer trade changed that).

I thought the most obvious Parish turnover was somewhere near the guts. Is that where you are referring he is not being played?

which players should be out tomorrow?

We weren’t really initially told that. The club never said anything. A communications specialist guessed and was wrong.

It would be a fair turnaround

Sure, Guelfs could have played forward…but that only serves Parish. Not Essendon. Guelfs had a ripper last week where he was.

He turned the ball over about 3 times in a minute at one stage. At the time it was so out of sync with our all round dominance and cost us a goal. In a closer match it was the sort of stuff that costs you games. In a match like last week, where we’re basically under no pressure it was unexplainable.

Hurley turned over the ball three times in a short period of time as well which resulted in them scoring directly. Do you want Hurley dropped as well? No? You can’t have one rule for one and not for the others.

90,000 at the MCG in a final like game, what a valuable experience that Francis, Parish, Langford and Laverde are missing out on…our future.

Of course you can.

I can’t remember Hurley’s turnovers, but Parish’s stood out like a sore thumb at the time.

Is it a regular thing? I don’t think so. I really think Parish is stiff because with Shiel and Merrett dominating through the centre the amount of midfield minutes available to him is reduced, and he currently is not of massive amounts of value when not through there. He’ll keep working and will be back soon enough

Or maybe our future is Redman and McKenna and Guelfi and McGrath and Ridley and etc etc.

We are in win now mode. The 4 points means more than anything else. The coaching staff thinks we’re a better chance with others. Francis, Parish, Langford and Laverde had better lift. (I don’t necessarily agree with the coaching staff on all of them, but they stnd where they stand in the eyes of the coaching group)

Bagley is a smart footballer. Darc could learn a few tricks off him. We have a strong squad at the moment some good players will miss games so we better get used to it.

Shocked at the outs… no not really. Pretty obvious unless you are a fanboi or have a vendetta and are incapable of rational thought.

Good changes. Bring on the match. FARK THOSE MAGGOTS

Yes we will be shattered if Parish leaves because he isn’t good enough.

Or as I would prefer, he will take his licks, learn and force his way back in. If he throws in the towel, he can fark off. We don’t need weak priiks (not that I am saying he is as I don’t believe he will quit).

Does Parish have beer flavoured nipples? :joy:

This is exactly what everyone wanted with the acquisition of Sheil. We are now finding it difficult to fit talent into the side.
Sheil be right!
The mids now have the pressure from below that the backs have.
If all the forwards were fit, yep, same problem.
This is a very good position to be be in.

i Get it.

I just don’t think that’s what is important to the role at the moment - I’m only guessing though.

For instance, I didn’t notice once during the replay that bags take his man into the leading pattern of our other forwards or flying with the talls for a mark.

He may be the f’ing king of structure for all we know and that’s why he is seen to be so valuable.

I think it’s incredibly simplistic to think ‘put kid in place and he’ll get more than 10 touches’ is doing the team a benefit.

Some people think it’s still round 2. They’ve forgotten we didn’t sack the coach, we aren’t in a rebuild phase and we’ve won the last 3 very loseable games by a huge margin.

Trust the coaches, we are trying to get a shot at a flag this year, plenty of kids are getting games.

And there’s nothing worse than a half filled Parish roll, doesn’t quite satisfy the hunger.

Depends on how you look at it, really. I’d argue that continuing to give games to Baguley only serves Baguley, not Essendon. Especially in the long term.

I agree that Guelfi had a ripper last week but he’s also likely to get less midfield minutes now that Zaharakis and Smith replace Ham and Parish, IMO.

Doesn’t look like WHE has played either VFL or AFL this year (maybe the JLT games, I cbf checking).
He was very very good last year, I rate him higher than elliott

Yeah, but clearly we know more about what the coaches asked each individual player than the actual coaches.

Agree that structurally, he’s probably doing a lot of things right.

But he’d damn well wanna be if he’s getting games ahead of kids, on the back of a goalless 10 disposal game that included 6 turnovers.

As a senior player, I want to see more from him. Which I think is fair enough. The bar seems to be set a lot higher for younger players, IMO.
