Was reported that he choked his partner at the time. German courts order him to pay about $1m and he eventually settled to avoid it going further. He sounds like a real piece of crap

Ben Rothenburg has been going on for years that Zverev should be suspended which has fallen deaf ears. The ATP conducted a 15 month investigation and reported Zverev had no case to answer. Originally the case did not make it to trial as the court ordered Zverev to pay damages to the defendant. Then Zverev appealed the decision and a trial was ordered BUT an out of court settlement was reached which resulted in Zverev having no convictions recorded against his name. At the same time, Zverev is suing tennis journalist Ben Rothenburg for defamation.
