Nadal v Demon is the most exciting matchup of the tournament so far for mine.

Let’s hope it lives up to expectations.

I think it’s the first match so should be on within an hour I guess.

Hopefully it goes 5 sets.

Ah, cool. Cricket will probably be as good as over by then, … :smirk:

Cheers.

Haven’t watched any cricket this summer.

I take it we are getting beaten?

Nothings impossible, … but we’ve not set them much of a task.

Hmmm

Just had a look.

Yeah I’m not watching that. Will be over in an hour

I have a feeling De Minaur will get whipped tonight in straight sets… not because of talent but because he’s playing the ultimate boss level version of himself as a 19 year old, having had a huge workload of games in the last few weeks including 2 games in one day on Saturday. He’ll be beaten well, but I reckon this year will be the last year it happens, another few years of development in De Minaur and he’ll be a top 5 player. His drive, work-rate is a thousand times better than both Kyrigos and Tomic and that’s why he won’t fall into a heap like they did. I’ve been saying this for ages but he’s the real deal. Guys like Millman who share similar drive unfortunately for them just don’t have the talent that he does.

Nervous first?? :crossed_fingers:

Hope he gets over the awe and sets about focusing.

Little Demon needs to add a bit of variety to his play. Mix it up a bit.

Looks nervous so far.

I don’t think Hewitt as a coach helps De Minaur.

He needs to work on an off forehand.

A few times he had the opportunity to drive it across court but he finessed it back across court.

Needs to attack.

True.
Did Hewitt ever have a big 1st serve %?

just A struggle to hold serve.

Hewitt was a solid serve but he attacked down the lines and was one of the best top spin lobs the game has aver seen.

Early in his career before the Australian public got into his head he was as attacking a player as you could get.

Yet he was known for running down everything.
