I’d love for former players to not be able to walk into commentary gigs in any sport. If they do they need to do a training program that is more than 2 seshs with a ch7 exec type.

The standard of commentary in Australia across most sports has been rubbish for a long time.
Whether they are trained commentators or just out of the game.
Just pay Phil Liggett a sh!tload of money to relocate here permanently and he can call all sports.
I don’t even care if he knows nothing about the sport.
Sure, it’s entertaining.
But don’t expect them to be winners.

Shapalov is talented, though a bit limited. Top 15 or bottom reaches of the top 10.

Kid looks like he has grand slams in him to me.
Big call from just one match but he looks very stylish with the one handed backhand, covers the court well, and plays an aggressive style.
Has some real power already as well and only 19.
