Funny timing. I just looked up who’s OOC, and I got the list:
Angus Clarke
Archer Day-Wicks
Archie May
Archie Perkins
Elijah Tsatas
Jade Gresham
Jaxon Prior
Jayden Nguyen
Kayle Gerreyn
Lachlan Blakiston
Liam McMahon
Matt Guelfi
Lewis Hayes
Nikolas Cox
Rhys Unwin
Saad El-Hawli
Tom Edwards
Zak Johnson
I think the only two that are categorically safe are Clarke and probably Johnson. Gerreyn would probably get another mandatory “he’s a KPF” one year extension too.
Of the rest:
Already gone:
Gresham
Guelf
Competing for one spot
May
Edwards
McMahon
Competing for one spot
Hayes
Blaki
Each 50/50, battling themselves, depends how their season goes
Cox
Tsatas
Perkins
Prior
Probably unlikely, say persist with one of
SEH
Unwin
Balance of probabilities get persisted with:
Nguyen
Gerreyn
ADW
That gets me to 8ish delistings without trying, and could very well be more.
I know it’s unpopular, but I think one of Guelfi or Gresham could well be on the list in 2027 if they have even a mediocre 2026 (no major injuries, play at their 2024 level). Our small forward stocks are absolutely dire in both quality and quantity, and we haven’t done anything to improve either. If we draft a legitimate small forward tonight with 36 and add El Achkar that changes things (or of course do some trading/FA moves next year). But right now one or both of those guys probably gets picked every week next year, and it wouldn’t be that hard for them to make a case for a spot in 2027.
That’s a good number to have. Another cutting of the “not good enough for what we want/need”, combined with a strong draft hand in 2026, will have the list in decent shape and Rosa’s major stamp on it.
