Koala is not a bloke

Accurate in the sense that you can’t rely on walking into pub after pub expecting they’ll have the game on, or put it on with sound. Best to do something like what @wasaharvsfanasakid suggested, but even he said “usually”

I used to live on the north side, and often went to the North Sydney Hotel across from the North Syd Oval, but that’s a bit out of the way, even that was no go if the NRL was on

Is anyone sitting in bay 28. I hope I’m not the only bomber fan there.

Are there any other Bomber fans sitting in or near bay 28? I heard most of the Essendon fans were trying to sit near our cheat squad bay 46. I tried to get cat 3 seats but couldn’t get that side of the ground. Speaking with other fans , it sounds like we r spread out all over the ground.

How will we know each other at a pub in Sydney. Is it a pink carnation kinda moment?

one year we posted on here that we were going to be drinking at The Strand. About midnight, someone walked through the door and yelled out “Is there a Koala in the house?!”. Never did find out which Blitzer he was, but his method worked!

We’re in 29 as are a few others I think.

If you go to ticketek now and type in BOMBERS you see our areas. I think 28 and 29 are Essendon bays

Plenty of pubs will have the swans game on.
If Sydney aren’t playing then that’s a different story.

But why not go? Tickets went on sale today.

Think they were talking about Friday nights game

Oh rightyo.

Yeah Alexandria, or if staying near the scg. The light brigade on Oxford St

Not sure if it’s the same place, but when I was living up there I always headed to the Alexandria Hotel. It’s a Swans pub, so expect red & white, but they play every AFL match in different rooms of the pub. Dare say they will have the Friday night game up on the big screen in the beer garden - being the only afl match on at the time.

Hmm two problems - one, it was purchased by Merivale. Two, it seems it may be closed for reno’s.

Let’s just pick a pub and fkn pack the joint pre game.

If you plan to kick on late afterwards, be aware of Sydney’s lock out laws. Basically don’t leave the place you’re in after about 1am.

Super tight there now, most places you need to have your ID scanned just for entry. For just normal pubs at pretty much any time of day. It takes ages to get in anywhere. Only certain areas though

Is that only if they’re full, but not to capacity?
