Really does show the finger on the scales behind the scenes.

Also shows how we’ll end up with four or five companies at most dishing out ‘truth’ to the masses.

The EU fined Twitter, so the MAGA types are going nuts on how bad the regulation is over there. Secretary of State Marco Rubio came out and called it an attack on America by an ally.

Here’s what the fine was for.

Interesting that despite the demise of DOGE and all the threats flying to and fro between Trump and Musk about Epstein files and the like, the Rs will still go in to bat for Twitter against the EU. Relations must not have entirely broken down yet.

The other way around. The EU is one of the more consumer-friendly (relatively speaking) regulatory bodies in existence, so naturally it draws the ire of Musk and Republicans - amongst a myriad of other reasons.

Twitter is the stick that Rubio is using to beat the EU with.

There’s lots of sticks out there. Rubio has chosen the one that literally accused the president of being in the Epstein files.

There’s no alleged here.

Trump is in them. He’s their highest profile contact.

When you lack any kind of moral or ideological consistency, any stick is valid

These tech companies are going to shortcut AI by outsourcing these controller jobs to the poorest on Earth, then when it catches up they’ll sack them all too.
