they did this all so matter of factually ‘i’m coming for you roman but not at mania’ and left no room to manouvre this early in the WM season… gonna need a twist like Rock ‘the board member’ turning & aligning with Roman or something, if Seth was healthier he could at least be a wildcard… maybe a surprise like Okada at EC can shift this or a bloodline beatdown injury on the Rock… if it’s a rock shows up every couple weeks to say a couple 3rd grader lines for easy pops, Roman shows up every now and then to say blah blah head of table gonna smash ya yay, gees… somehow this has to get back to Cody Roman

With no punk and lesnar at wrestlemania, they desperately need the mega star power of the rock so I can see why they have panicked and parachuted him in.
I personally couldn’t give a stuff about Cody and “his story”, he doesn’t interest me at all. Every promo all he does is mention his dad and talk about his story and panders to the crowd, He has no edge to him at all.
Rock is my favourite all time wrestler, so I’m happy to see him wrestle again. But I really don’t want to see him wrestle Reigns for one specific reason:
There is zero chance Reigns loses and drops the title, which means he will have it for another year just so he can break Hogans record.
Rhodes doesn’t have mega star power? the bloke is the biggest baby face since Cena. WWE had their new Cena and completely buried him so they can have Rock vs Roman which could have waited till WM41 or Rock vs Roman at Summerslam for head of the table.
Unfortunately fans wont care anymore about Cody he’s done.
oh look it makes perfect sense off-screen to go this way. it’s the smart business call.
but on-screen they’ve made it look utterly ridiculous. cody and seth both look like absolute chumps now when they could have just… not done it like that
take out the talking down of the heavyweight title, and finishing the story “not at wrestlemania”, leave everything else the same, and the whole thing has the exact same impact, but you’ve bought enough time for a plausible explanation as to why rock is going up v roman instead

Anyone who hasn’t watched Wrestling for 5 years will have no idea who Cody Rhodes is.
Meanwhile the Rock is the biggest movie star on the planet.
For example, my partner has no interest in Wrestling what so ever. I told her that the Rock will be wrestling at Wrestlemania…… she actually wants to watch it and has been paying attention to see if he turns up on Raw/Smackdown.

Also, for me. Cody’s whole thing has gotten abit old.
Every promo is “my dad is dead”.
And to be clear this isn’t Cody’s fault its all on the baffling booking to not have him win at last years mania or even another big 4 like Summerslam.
That’s why he had to leave AEW.
Yep, there is ways too do it but they completely botched it with the wording in the promo’s
The Rock is copping some serious heat online. Now there’s reports he wants to go over Reigns at Mania.
As I said above, the only reason the whole bloodline story was red hot 12 months ago, was because of Owens and Zayne.
People were complaining that Rhodes was put in the middle of that fued, when he had no right to be there.
How things have changed.
He can if he wants. He runs the company
Plus the rumour is that he puts in his movie contracts that he can never lose a fight (apparently), do we think he’ll be coming in to put Reigns over?
I doubt many of those words (maybe the “no pop”) were unscripted.
It takes a lot of faith to believe it was deliberately that damaging, and there was an existing plan to more than recover all of that damage (especially for Rollins and his title).
