I always liked Sid. Copped one of the worst injuries I have ever seen in wrestling
Has Arn Anderson got an alibi?
He was refreshingly dumb.
But his intensity was great, and him getting Flair the belt over Hogan makes him a legend on its own.
I do remember him doing a backstage promo with JR. He messed it up and said can I do it again. JR goes “we are live pal”
I also remember Sid going in to the footy show and hitting Sam Newman with a chair
Collision finally getting on to ESPN (Kayo) from this weekend.
The Suncorp event might also be free to watch via them?
Arson about.
Anyone see the angle with Danielson after his match or the stuff with page and swerve
Absolutely disgusting, like indie level Death match style garbage
AEW have so much talent at their disposal to make great shows and matches, why are they lowering themselves to do that trash?
Page/Swerve has been great storytelling for a year. The needle bit was too vague; was it just a sharp thing or was it a sedative etc?
The Moxley character change remains very un-fleshed-out (and, so far, boring) — though it was kinda genius earlier in the week beating down the guys who finally had their first win.
I’m mostly upset that Claudio got way over as a face, and that’s flushed away.
Putting a needle in someone’s mouth
Putting a plastic bag over someone’s head
The chair shot to an extent, but I’m sure in this day and age they could gimmick the chair in some way( at least I hope so)
For me that’s not wrestling, just backyard wrestling
The often comical (not least because of their outright refusal to include anyone who tag teams; e.g. all of House of Black, including that guy who was the MCW champ for much of the year in question) PWI 500 list is out.
Some women who often fight men snuck into the list, including Australians Jess Troy at 99 (the highest ranked woman from any country), DELTA at 157, and Charlie Evans at 222.
Other Australians (Emman honourary):
- 65 Kyle Fletcher
- 144 Bronson Reed
- 161 Brooksy
- 169 Robbie Eagles
- 232 Slex
- 255 Ricky South
- 261 Grayson Waller
- 306 Duke Hudson
- 323 The Tuckman (whoah, someone really likes his gimmick)
- 328 Paris de Silva
- 333 Emman Azman
- 340 Jimmy Townsend
- 342 Ben Braxton
- 356 Caveman Ugg
- 394 Chris Basso
- 402 Big Fudge (second of this list where I go “who?” – got a solitary match with NJPW Tamashii recently; Braxton has also featured with them)
- 413 Will Keidas
Any list with Ugg near the bottom of that selection is extracting the urine.
Top three was Rhodes, Strickland and Ospreay, which is OK-ish for a kayfabe-ish list.
I marked out seeing The Hitman on Raw this week.
Lover Gunther on the mic. I would like Brett to be in Sammy Zayns corner if he has a match with Gunther.
Dirty Dom at 69. Nice.
(Added the last two Aussies above)
P.S. That best woman in the world is up against the CMLL champ at MCW on Sunday week.
Out today on Netflix:
If that show was the average of MCW and OPW, then I recommend you avoid OPW events.
Last two matches worthwhile (spoilers for results; OK, the main event is not very concealed)
FWIW, when Ali spoke about wanting to get the locker room to bigger things, his order was AEW then TNA (where he held the X and World championships earlier this year) then WWE. Make of that what you will.
