Ticketek says today

edit - kayo says 16th must they must have got it wrong TT

ROH started at 6:30 AEW at 7pm

I just looked it up.

They’re not broadcasting it Live in Australia.

There’ve also moved it because of poor ticket sales.

Khan is dumb f*ck for not having it in Melbourne.

So they come all the way to Australia to not broadcast it live on top of this move the date because of poor ticket sales essentially a glorified house show lols

At the very least Melbourne would have sold out AAMI stadium for this show.

Kahn has no clue doesn’t he they are the final years of WCW.

HHH must look at AEW like pfff lols

would have been a deal with qld tourism

Tony got mostly booed when he came out, despite doing the hype, you’re great we’ll be back again etc.

Crowd was pretty hot, Kenny/Ospreay v Fletcher/Takeshita amazing, Deathriders finish was the easy lowllight, Davis got a match in as well as being Don’s bodyguard so lots of Aussies.

They killed AEW. Tony gave into his worst primal urges and turned it from what initially looked like a second alternative, into a glorified indie promotion that isn’t taken seriously but has the cash to burn. For how much longer remains to be seen. It’s a payday for all those wrestlers that have beef with WWE or want a good payday to wrestle or do whatever they like in the ring. They’re the promotion of a 1000 flips and a 1000 kickouts now.

Crowd sounded amazing from what I saw. Apparently they had to mute it a few times though.

Wont be long till AEW do a partnership with with WWE just like TNA. i think that’s the best outcome for AEW imo.

No chance wwe would ever do a partnership with wwe. It doesn’t help wwe at all,wwe would rather they just die.

They prefer to be the only major wrestling company in the industry, that way they can pay their wrestlers whatever they want and the wrestlers either have to take it or be released.

AEW had the perfect opportunity to be a legitimate second alternative. But tony khan books like a wrestling nerd who wants to have fun, he isn’t in it to make money or run a proper company( he wants to be the one writing the shows), or he just lets some wrestlers do whatever they want. Look at some of the talent they have misused and wasted:

Cody Rhodes
Cm punk
Miro
Jericho- was great at the beginning, now he is just an embarrassment. He is everything that he used to criticise the old wow guys for
Lance archer
Wardlow
Jade Cargill- I’m not a fan of hers, but she could easily be the Chyna of AEW
FTR

I don’t have much sympathy for MJF, he decided to stay- got a tattoo of aew( which killed his character), and unless he is breaking the 4th wall and saying some outrageous, his promos are trash

In the end, khan gave too much power to the wrestlers to do what they wanted- the bucks are a prime example of this.

they’ve carved out a nice little corner of the market (workrate nerds) and seem content with it

i reckon a lot of the “wanting aew to succeed” energy of a few years ago was really just “want wwe to be better”

aew was never going to be a genuine competitor to wwe and never will be

-edit- any dipsht can book a babyface title chase. the hard part is what happens after. i don’t think aew have ever worked that bit out. wwe’s classic pathway of “feud with kane or big show” was well trodden, but at least it carried some momentum.

That Rock promo was one of the strangest promos ever…

Khan wastes so much time worrying about dirtsheets and arguing with journos about how unfair they are.

WWE couldn’t give a f*ck about what dirtsheets say or what rating Melzer gives the matches…… the only thing that matters to WWE is filling stadiums and TV ratings.

They know that 5 star matches doesn’t put bums on seat. Compelling stories do that.

the MJF fall off needs to be studied, how they fumbled his momentum is crazy

That was a weird promo from The Rock not sure what he’s trying to achieve with Cody

Fans speculating that Rock want’s Cody to be his corporate heel champ like he was back in the day

MJF farked up could have went to wwe. like how wcw farked up Bretts arrival by making him a guest referee AEW doing the same kind of mistakes

For sure, his elite heel skills were perfect to Ric Flair it - jump over, jump back and so on through his career

WWE must think Wrestlemania is the drizzling shitz.

That match was a disgrace on so many levels. Wouldn’t even be in the top 300 matches in WM history

turning it into a whole WCW v.s WWE thing- Vince just couldn’t let it go

the commentary being a disgrace- with JBL just burying sting and WCW

and HHH going over, there was zero reason for him to go over a guy in his first match. Except ego
